The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis of financial reports. The ideal candidate will be someone who is ambitious, detail-oriented, and a great communicator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participation in the month, quarter and year-end close.
- Preparation of journal entries.
- Preparation of account reconciliations and analysis.
- Ensure the accuracy financial records and reports.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with established accounting principles and standards.
- Analyse and interpret financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas of concern or opportunities for growth.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, marketing, and sales to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
