Newly Qualified Accountant

Nixon McQuade are delighted to be working with a fast-growing tech company who are seeking a newly qualified accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis of financial reports. The ideal candidate will be someone who is ambitious, detail-oriented, and a great communicator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participation in the month, quarter and year-end close.
• Preparation of journal entries.
• Preparation of account reconciliations and analysis.
• Ensure the accuracy financial records and reports.
• Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with established accounting principles and standards.
• Analyse and interpret financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor financial performance and identify areas of concern or opportunities for growth.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, marketing, and sales to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
